When you purchase a piece of engravable jewellery online from Michael Hill, it’s engraved in-house using our state-of-the-art machinery for beautiful, high quality results. Our machinery is impeccably accurate; ensuring your personalised name necklace, bracelet or ring comes out beautifully every time.

The character limit for your engraved jewellery will be dependent on the size of the piece itself, and will be indicated on the product page when you are entering your text for engraving.

The larger the surface area of the piece, the more characters will be available for engraving - consider full names for larger pieces such as a bar necklace, and initials for smaller items like an engraved bracelet for babies.

We offer a classic serif font for our engraved pieces online.

When selecting your characters, you may choose from upper and lowercase fonts, any numbers and special characters including ‘-&$!?#./

As with all precious jewellery, you should care for your engraved jewellery by cleaning it regularly, storing it properly when not in use and avoiding exposure to harsh chemicals.

Cleaning can be done regularly with a soft jewellery cleaning cloth, or your engraved pieces can be brought into your nearest Michael Hill store for professional cleaning. Store your engraved jewellery in its box or a jewellery box when not wearing, and remove it when using cleaning products or while swimming for prolonged shine.
